We flash-freeze your Grandma Ruth’s pre-rolled + packaged pie crust in our Los Angeles commercial kitchen, using the freshest ingredients. We fill your DIY “Pie in the Box” bag with every ingredient you need, measured out, to easily bake your Grandma Ruth’s delicious pies in the convenience of your own kitchen!

We freeze all of our pie crusts and then place them within a vacuum-sealed plastic pack that is then placed within a plastic storage pie container, to ensure its freshness and safety while traveling to you. Within the insulated pack you will find your pie crust and crumble. Finally, your dry ingredients and apples will be in the gingham bag placed on top of the insulated bag.

APPLE PIE CRUMBLE TOP

INGREDIENTS: Organic apples, flour, sugar, vegetable shortening, cornstarch, lemon juice, salt. *Crumble: flour or oatmeal, vegan butter & brown sugar.

VEGAN INGREDIENTS: Organic apples, sugar, flour, vegetable shortening, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg (*it’s a seed—NOT a nut*), lemon juice, vegan butter. *Crumble: flour or oatmeal, vegan butter & brown sugar.

GF INGREDIENTS: Organic apples, gluten-free flour mixture [Gluten free flour, baking powder, sour cream, sugar, salt, xantham gum, corn starch], vegetable shortening, organic butter, lemon juice, salt. *Crumble: Brown rice flour or Gluten Free oatmeal, vegan butter & brown sugar.

INGREDIENTS: Oregon sour cherries, flour, sugar, veg shortening, corn starch, vegan butter, salt, almond extract *Crumble: flour or oatmeal, vegan butter & brown sugar.

GF INGREDIENTS: Oregon sour cherries, gluten-free flour mixture [Gluten free flour, baking powder, sour cream, sugar, salt, xanthan gum, corn starch], sugar, vegetable shortening, corn starch, organic butter, salt, almond extract. Pie Care

We freeze all of our pie crusts and then place them within a vacuum-sealed plastic pack that is then placed within a plastic storage pie container, to ensure its freshness and safety while traveling to you. Within the insulated pack you will find your pie crust and crumble. Finally, your dry ingredients and apples will be in the gingham bag placed on top of the insulated bag. 

Getting started & unpacking your “Pie in the Box”: 

Upon opening the box, remove the gingham ingredient bag, place your apples in the refrigerator, place your non perishable ingredients in a dry storage space.

If you would like to bake your pie at a later date, unpack your crumble and crust and place it in your freezer within the vacuum seal pack. Your pie crust and crumble can stay within your freezer for up to a month. Be sure to keep your plastic pie container for future travel uses. 

For immediate pie baking: Place the crust and crumble in the refrigerator to keep cold but not frozen before baking your pie crust.

Allergens

These pies are made in a kitchen that uses all types of nuts. We accommodate food allergies such as Gluten-Free, Vegan, or Dairy-free pies. However, we are not a licensed gluten-free kitchen, our gluten-free items are segregated to one section of the kitchen, including all gluten-free tools and baking pans are for ONLY gluten-free use. This has ensured us of no cross-contamination.
